ALV At Last Virtual

Privacy policy

What happens to your information when you use this site or get in touch. Short version: I only collect what I need, I don't sell it, and I don't track you.

Who I am

This website is run by Alice Lynch, trading as At Last Virtual. For anything about your data, email hello@atlastvirtual.com.

What I collect

Only what you choose to send me:

  • Through the enquiry form: your name, email address, business name (if given), the type of support you're after, your message, and how you found me.
  • By email: whatever you include in your email.
  • Through the ALV Academy waitlist: your name, email address and, if given, what you'd like to learn. I use this only to tell you about ALV Academy, and you can ask to be removed at any time.

I don't ask for, and you shouldn't send through the form, any confidential client or case information. If we work together, that is handled separately under our agreement.

How I use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call.
  • To prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
  • To keep a record of our correspondence.

I won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one, and I never sell or share your details for marketing.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me, and taking steps you've asked for before entering into a contract.

Who else handles it

A small number of trusted services help run this site and my business. They only process your information to provide their service:

  • Formspree receives enquiry form submissions and forwards them to my inbox.
  • Cloudflare hosts this website and provides privacy-friendly visitor statistics.
  • My business email provider stores our email correspondence.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Cookies and analytics

This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Visitor statistics come from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies, doesn't collect personal information and doesn't follow you across other websites. That's why you won't see a cookie banner here.

How long I keep it

If an enquiry doesn't lead to work together, I delete it within 12 months. If we do work together, I keep records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting requirements.

Your rights

Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how it's used, or receive a copy of it. Email hello@atlastvirtual.com and I'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how your data has been handled, please tell me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live. In the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
